List of Local AZ Farms and Markets to Support
Updated: Aug 20, 2021

Hey friends! I’m a big proponent of buying from local, small businesses. I like to know where my money is going and what exactly I’m supporting. I believe voting with my dollar is one of the easiest ways to make the world a better place.
I do my best to buy all things local or at least from an actual person’s small business, but I’m not perfect. Some items I give myself a little slack on. I have to say, though, one thing I'm pretty consistent with buying locally is my food! There are so many great benefits to consuming farm fresh produce, like greater levels of vitamins and nutrients in your meals. (Yes, please.)

Below you’ll find a simple, comprehensive list of farms to buy your food from. These are farms from all over the Phoenix valley. Please check them out and support your local businesses! Eating local is so important— for your own health and the livelihood of our local economy. Farmers work really hard to provide for us, and we want to keep them afloat. Especially with the current climate!
This list does not include every single farm or farmer’s market by a long shot. We Phoenicians actually have quite an amazing array of small, local options to buy from when it comes to our food. So while this is not a complete list, it's absolutely a start.

FARMS THAT OFFER CSA BOXES.
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Every farm does theirs a little differently. Some have memberships you sign up for at the beginning of the season, some have memberships you can opt into at almost any time during the season, and some you can just order weekly sans membership.
But basically, the farm grows the food, and you get a box of whatever is in season at the time. This arrangement allows you both to support each other while creating a relationship that promotes a healthy community and the security of nutrient-dense food in your home town. Super important!
Each of the below farms is linked to their site so you can check out their personal CSA offerings.

FARMER’S MARKETS
If a CSA box sounds like too much of a commitment for you right now, there are tons of farmer’s markets that you can shop at every week. That way, you can just pick up the things you want or need at any given time. These farmer’s markets carry the produce from many of the above farms, and more! Farmer’s markets are great because you can get the best of all the valley. Produce, eggs, beans, pastas, breads, baked goods, sauces, even herbs and body products, all in one convenient place. Plus, some of them have food trucks. So that’s fun.
